Bargain Shopping, continued...

Sean thinks I am "bragging" when I post my bargain-shopping finds on the blog. Just to be clear, I am NOT bragging. Rather, I am just sharing my excitement with others who love a good deal. With that said, today Carter & I went to Baby Gap and hit the sale racks. They were having 25% off all sale items, plus I had a coupon! Check out the deals from today! I was so excited, that I am posting the actual receipt.(Maybe this should be a "bargain-shoppers blog" instead of our family blog.)
Not pictured are the other deals of the day from Children's Place: a heavy winter coat with zip-out long sleeved fleece (for next year) for $4.25!!!!! (reg. $49.50), jeans for $8.50 and PJ's for $4.25.

Grandma Pat

I am a little behind on posting this! Pat/Mom visited us last week and we had a wonderful time! In addition to going to the Stock Show, we toured the Martha Stewart homes (my 4th time!), ate out a lot and had a great time visiting. We love you Mom! Hopefully, Grandpa Dan can come out next time!

Stock Show

We have had fun with Sean's mom, Pat, visiting us this week. Today Sean, Pat and I took Carter to the National Western Stock Show. It was so much fun! We went to the Pro-Rodeo and saw Governor Bill Ritter in the stage coach, bronco riding, steer roping, steer wrestling and our favorite...Mutton Bustin'! That is where 4-6 year olds ride sheep bare back, for as long as they can hold on. Very cute. After the rodeo, we walked around the stock yards and went to the petting zoo. We saw sheep, goats, llama, donkeys, pigs, ducks and chicken. Carter loved all the animals and thought everything was a "dog". He was ready for a nap when we finally made it home! This is definitely an event we will make a point to attend every year from now on.

Messy!

Today we went for Carter's 15-month Well-Child visit. Everything looks good...he is growing & thriving and still has a large head (above 97%ile and off the growth chart). Dr. Mary remarked that he is "very busy" and interested in EVERYTHING...tell me something I don't know! We were happy to hear that Carter's development is right on target. However, we do need to start being more dedicated to teeth-brushing and trying to transition Carter from bottle to sippy cup. AND, we need to work on him feeding himself with the spoon. Uuugghhh! I have posted photos of tonight's episode for you to enjoy. The mess is peach yogurt smeared all over his tray. He was having fun with it. I was praying for it to be over, but tried to keep my OCD at bay long enough for him to have some success.

Best Buddies

Carter loves our dog, Macey. He tries to get her to chase him & when she doesn't, he pulls her tail & ears. For some reason, she doesn't try to run away from him. In fact, she actually tolerates him quite well and seems to enjoy the attention, no matter how painful! Sean & I have been so happy with how well Mace has adjusted to having a "little brother". She tends to be pretty high-strung, but somehow she does really well with Carter. Thank goodness!

Haircut #3

Today I took Carter for a haircut at Little b's. He has had two previous haircuts at Jack & Jill in CC North, but this is much closer to our house & I wanted to try something different. He got to watch Bob the Builder (very cool), but even that didn't stop the tears. I swear, this boy has so much hair! It seems to grow like crazy.

New to this

Since I have recently been obsessed with reading other people's blogs, I decided maybe I needed a blog...to give something back to the snooping community, if you will. My husband thinks I'm crazy. "Why do you care what other people do in their day-to-day lives? You don't even know these people!" The answer is, I'm not sure why I love blogs, but I do. Maybe it's because I'm nosey. Or, maybe because I become obsessed with unimportant things easily (first it was Craigslist, more recently it has been Facebook). Whatever the reason, I love that I now have permission to snoop! So, here you go...the Beilman's as an open book. Enjoy!
