One Tooth Down...

Guess who lost his first tooth?!  Yippee!!  Carter was so excited to finally lose that wiggler on the bottom row.  His permanent tooth had almost completely grown in by the time that baby fell out was forcibly pulled out by yours truly.  I couldn't take it anymore.  Now we've got two loose ones on the top row that are on their way out.

Carter was super-excited to see that the Tooth Fairy brought him $5 AND a Lego Mini-Figure.  She just seems to know what boys like.  :-)

Two Birthdays Are Better Than One

We celebrated Sister's & Grampy's birthdays when Mimi & Grampy were in town recently.  Any excuse for cake & margaritas around here!

  We tried to celebrate at a cool new restaurant, Schoolhouse Kitchen, but were told we could not be seated until 10PM.  We decided to pass on that because we figured we need to put the boys to bed at some point.  We had a great time sampling beers at the 2nd choice place & were happy to be home before 9PM.

 Three cheers for beers!  Or, in Grampy's case, Cherry Cider.

We had a yummy breakfast in Olde Town & learned a new use for oranges. Good times were had by all!

Surprises From Mimi

Mimi almost always tucks surprises into her suitcase when she visits, and boy were these boys excited!  She has been growing their Itty Bitty collection from Hallmark.  (You should probably buy some Hallmark stock, Mom.)

My Silly Valentines

We celebrated lots on Friday!  The boys were out of school and Sean was working from home, so we made the most of it... Donuts for breakfast, goody bags, more candy and then a yummy dinner out at Village Tavern.  What a great day!

Valentine's Parties!

I love being able to help with school parties!  Working weekends has its drawbacks, but it has been such a blessing to be able to participate in weekday school events while the boys are little. Carter & Davis had so much fun doing their Valentine cards this year .  It was so cute to see them take pride in giving each of their classmates something special. Since Davis goes to Kindergarten next year, this was also our last Preschool party...ever.  It makes me sad to think about how big the boys are getting.  Let's just say it took a lot of chocolate to drown my sorrows!

Between the Preschool & 1st Grade party, we headed to the Dollar Store for 27 balloons!  They were quite a hit at school!

New Year's Celebrations, etc.

The boys had lots of fun assembling things with Grampy and playing video games like they were going out of style.  

 We did throw in a little educational reading, just to keep things lively. 

In the midst of all that fun, Sean and I got out for a night away downtown to celebrate our nine-year anniversary.  Yippee!!!  Thanks Mimi & Grampy!

Annual Holiday Lights Train 2014

Our trip to Georgetown to ride the Holiday Lights Train is one of my favorite holiday traditions.  It's so Colorado-like up there!  This year was frigid, but we had a great time anyway.
