Mimi's Back in Town

Sean was in Atlanta for work last month, so my mom flew out to take care of the boys while I worked.  It was so nice to not have to use PTO (since I'm still on Weekend Plan at work).  Thanks, Mimi!  You always take such good care of the boys for us.  We treated her to dinner out on the last night before she flew home. We owed her that much, at least! 

But, that's not all...

Mom & I got to have a girls' night out with Sister on Friday...we went downtown to see "Wicked"!  Mimi had never seen it & it had been years since Christy & I had been.  We all had a great time, it's such an amazing show. One of the best parts was stopping for a dinner of small plates at the Four Seasons hotel beforehand. Delish!!!

Two Birthdays Are Better Than One

We celebrated Sister's & Grampy's birthdays when Mimi & Grampy were in town recently.  Any excuse for cake & margaritas around here!

  We tried to celebrate at a cool new restaurant, Schoolhouse Kitchen, but were told we could not be seated until 10PM.  We decided to pass on that because we figured we need to put the boys to bed at some point.  We had a great time sampling beers at the 2nd choice place & were happy to be home before 9PM.

 Three cheers for beers!  Or, in Grampy's case, Cherry Cider.

We had a yummy breakfast in Olde Town & learned a new use for oranges. Good times were had by all!

Christmas Awesome-ness

Mimi, Sister & I went to see A Christmas Carol a few days before Christmas.  We started our fun evening at Sister's apartment for champagne & gifts!  The boys were thrilled to get their goodies...thanks, Sister!

 We walked to Union Station for dinner after the show.  Loved all the lights in LoDo!  Thanks for a fun night, ladies.  Let's do it again next year!

Minus Two

Aunt Christy & Gwenyth moved out a couple of weeks ago and things have been pretty dull around here. We had gotten used to being a family of five and Macey had gotten used to having a cat BFF.  But, we were treated to a fabulous dinner at Benihana to celebrate the past six months.  Miss you already, Sister!

 Before moving day, Davis used some of Aunt Christy's boxes to make his "office" where he did work "to help people".  Love it!

 Davis & I visited Sister in her new apartment last week.  It is amazing!  Gwenyth seems to be adjusting nicely.

Aunt Christy Meets Joe

Aunt Christy took us out for a nice dinner at Joe's Crab Shack last week.  She had never been before! Crazy, I know.  She gave it two thumbs up, especially once we found out Joe's has fried pickles.  Dee-lish! We had a fun night & I'm pretty sure Sister will be going back.

Sister Moves In

Aunt Christy is now a member of the Beilman household! She is moved into the guest room & even has a home office set up...in the basement.  We are so happy to have her here & I have decided that it is nice to have a second female around to help balance things out in this crazy male-dominated environment. She is a huge help with the boys and around the house.  Plus, we are having fun watching TV & having girl talk in the evenings after Sean falls asleep on the couch.  

Sister & Grampy came bearing gifts from Kansas City.  Thanks for the Easter treasures, Mimi!

Date Night

While Aunt Christy was visiting us recently, she got to go on some fun dates downtown.  Carter thought she looked SO pretty before her night out at the Symphony!  While she was out Friday, we went to Joe's Crab Shack for a fun family date night.  :-)  

Crabs+bibs+strawberry smoothies=a great night in the Suburbs!

Mimi's Birthday

We got to help Mimi celebrate her 62nd birthday on Sunday! (A lady never reveals her true age.)  I was lucky enough to stay home from work, so we got to spend a little extra time together. It was a low-key day since we had already done the cake part a couple of days earlier.

We treated ourselves to ice cream at our local sweet shop.  An added bonus was seeing this huge bird come in.  He didn't eat any ice cream.  Weird.

The low-point of the day was dropping Aunt Christy off at the airport.  She had to fly back to Chicago and missed our birthday dinner celebration at Black Eyed Pea.  I know she was really upset about that...  Thanks, Milnes, for a great visit and all of your help with Carter and Davis!  Hope we can do it again!
