Shameless Plug

I am happy/surprised to say that my little Thirty-One business venture has gotten off to a GREAT start!  I have been overwhelmed by the support from all of my co-workers (No, working with 40 women does not hurt at all...) and YOU, my friends and family! You girls are just awesome! As one of my girlfriends said "Marigny, the bags kind of sell themselves."  ;-)  I thinks she's probably right! 

This is my friendly reminder that orders need to be submitted by TOMORROW night, Dec. 10th, in order to arrive before Christmas.  The special shown below is good until Dec. 20th, but orders placed after the 10th may not make it under the tree in time.  If you are still needing to shop, please click the pink box link, under "Shop With Me" on the top left of the blog or feel free to message me on Facebook or send up a smoke signal...whatever works!

And, just in case you were wondering if having your own Thirty-One girls' night would be fun, let me tell you--it is!  Look, even dogs love the products. :-)  Here are a couple of pics from my friend's party last week.  We had a blast & I have a new mascot.  

Thanksgiving Thoughts

I am getting a little behind because it has been REALLY busy lately, but more on that later...  Here is a recap of our Thanksgiving this year.  We had a great time with a house full of people, just like last year.  We had guests from near and far...our friend, Dezo, came with Grandad and Grandma Nancy.  She is still in Lawrence on her student visa from Haiti, getting ready to start nursing school.  She is just a beautiful person and we were happy to have her with us again.  Macey was, too! ;-)

These were our "Thankful" turkeys...everyone had something unique to be grateful for this year.  Some more unique than others, if you know what I mean. 

Debbie invented a new game: "Minute to Win It, the Home Edition".  It was hilarious!!  One of the "challenges" was to get an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands. This was some good old-fashioned family entertainment, folks!

Once again, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to have an abundance of blessings in our lives. We were so happy to celebrate Thanksgiving day with some of our favorite people.  Hope you all had a great one as well!

Davis Turns FOUR!

I cannot believe our little guy is FOUR years old!  Seriously, where does the time go?!  Davis got his very own birthday party this year, for the first time ever...he was so excited!  We decided to keep it "simple" and just invited his entire Preschool class (16 kids).  Most of them were able to come to the party, so it was a lot of fun to see them interact outside of school.  But, we started the day opening a couple of presents:

We had a great time with our friends and feel so fortunate to have so many nice folks come celebrate with us. It was a fun night!

Big Birthday Bash

My friend Megan and I decided to do a group birthday celebration since four of our (combined) five kids have November birthdays.  We took them to a jumpy house play place on Friday and then back to Megan's for dinner.  They all had so much fun!  We decided that this will be our new birthday tradition for our crew.

You should have seen the looks I got from the lady at the grocery store when I ordered five birthday balloons, for ages 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6.  She thought I was a crazy mom with five kids age six and under.  I did set the record straight, FYI. ;-)  And yes, Davis did pop his balloon before the evening even got started.  I insisted that he take a deflated balloon over to Megan's house for the photo...yep, I'm that mom.

We love these girls and are so grateful to have this wonderful family living down the street from us. Can't wait for next year!

Outings With Aunties

We have had a very fun time lately with Aunties.  We got to see Aunt Christy over Halloween and even had a night out while Mimi watched the boys!  Thanks, Mimi!

Mom and I got to celebrate with Aunt Debbie on the day before her birthday.  We found a yummy burger place in the Highlands and Davis slept through the whole thing.  It was pretty much a girls' only event.

Last, but not least, we got to see Aunt Kris and Uncle Peter for lunch on their way to Colorado Springs last week. What a nice treat!

Deck Project: Completed!

Four months, three grandpas, one hard-working husband and countless man hours later--WE HAVE A DECK!  This project is officially finished!  (Aside from some gutters we have a guy coming to install, but who cares about that?)  It has been an amazing process to see Sean bring this project from paper to reality. I couldn't be happier with the end result and I know we will get a lot of use out of this in the warmer months. But, enough about that.  Here she is in all her glory:

 Sean painted the ceiling and railings to match our front porch.  He also added two ceiling fans, four outdoor speakers & an extra outlet to string Christmas lights (if we want).  Can't wait to have our first party!

 The grill finally has a home.  

 We haven't figured out a good way to keep the decking from getting muddy paw prints all over it, but other than that it's wonderful.  Thanks, Sean, for all of your hard work and not complaining (too much) about how big of a project this was.  :-) I know you would rather be working on your car! I love you and am so grateful to have such a talented husband!
