Life On the Farm

Our first outing with Grandad was a trip to Deanna Rose Farm on Friday. What a fun place for kids!  

 Fishing was a success--both boys caught fish!

 And Davis even picked his floppy fish up off the dock.  Brave!

The boys even got to pan for gems.  Super cool!  They each came home with a bag of treasures from this.

Hit the Road, Beilmans

aka: Stop #1: Grandad & Grandma Nancy's. We were happy to get to Lawrence after 11 hours on the road.  A good time was had by all!  The boys loved playing with all of the old toys Grandma Nancy saved from when her kids were little. They especially loved playing outside on the swing set.

Grandad took over the all-important before bed story time.  Davis seemed really interested in the Van Gogh book.

Happy Birthday, Sean!

Sean's birthday is always close to Father's Day, so we kind of lump the two together.  We took him out to dinner at Fogo de Chao in LoDo.  It was super yummy.  Even Carter found a couple of things he liked! Poor Davis fell asleep on the drive there & snoozed through the entire delicious meal.  He even missed chocolate cake!

 Sean loved the birthday cake but didn't want us to sing to him.  Crazy.

Just Keep Swimming...

The boys started swim lessons at the neighborhood pool a couple of weeks ago.   It is a challenge to get them there (The pool heater is somewhat unpredictable, so you never know if the water will be frigid or just right at 9:30 in the morning.) but once they get started it's usually pretty smooth.

Suite Game!

Some other nurses & I were lucky enough to score some really good Rockies tickets from work, so we invited some friends & off to the game we went!  Our tickets were for one of the suites, so we got to see how the other half lives...we even got VIP parking!  It will be hard to go back to the Rock Pile after this experience.

 We got to meet Dinger!  (He makes a special appearance in the suite level at the top of the 5th inning. Who knew?!)

A Very Milne Good-bye

Mimi & Grampy had to go home a couple of days after our Estes Park trip, but we will be excited to see them again in a few weeks when we go on our Midwestern Adventure!  We got some good bunny ear shots before they hit the road.  Love you both!  Thanks for a fun visit!!!
