Under New Ownership

I am happy to announce that my husband is now an Associate of BCER Engineering!  After spending a small fortune, we own a very very small percentage of the company.  I'm serious, it's tiny.  BUT, it's a big step for Sean and I couldn't be prouder of him and all of his hard work to get to this point.  He is well-respected by all of the other owners for his committee work, quality engineering skills and the great relationships he builds with clients.  We feel very blessed, even if we don't really understand how to calculate heat loads.  Love you, babe!  

Happy Birthday, Sean!

Sean's birthday is always close to Father's Day, so we kind of lump the two together.  We took him out to dinner at Fogo de Chao in LoDo.  It was super yummy.  Even Carter found a couple of things he liked! Poor Davis fell asleep on the drive there & snoozed through the entire delicious meal.  He even missed chocolate cake!

 Sean loved the birthday cake but didn't want us to sing to him.  Crazy.

Happy Birthday to Sean!

We celebrated Sean's 35th birthday last week--is it me or does he never age?  If he shaves off his beard, he looks 18.  I'm not kidding.  Anyway, we tried something new and went to the restaurant at a nearby public golf course.  They have outdoor seating with great views and will make fresh guacamole at your table...what's not to love?! It was fun to go out since we didn't really get to celebrate Father's Day this year.

 The boys were so interested with the golf playing going on and made Sean promise to take them to play golf   someday soon!  We'll see how that goes...

Back at home for some birthday cheesecake.  (Sorry for the blurry pic.)  We love you, babe!  So glad you're ours.  

Hot Wheels

Guess who's got a new project car?  That's right, Sean finally has a Karmann Ghia to restore & this is the happiest I've seen him...maybe ever!  (With the exception of our wedding day & the boys' birthdays, of course.)  ;-)  She's not much to look at now, but give us about 10 years & this sweet ride will be the envy of the neighborhood, I'm sure!

So Proud

Sean was given a promotion at work last week and we are all SO proud of him! Check out Davis's tee shirt. :-) He is driven and dedicated and has been given a great opportunity to head up the sustainable design work that his company does. It's no secret that being environmentally friendly is one of Sean's passions, so it makes perfect sense that he gets to carry that into his professional life as well. We are excited about Sean's new work focus and feel very fortunate to have him in our lives. What a wonderful role model he is for our two boys!

PE

I almost forgot...Congratulations to Sean for passing the PE! He is now a Professional Engineer (he was before, but now it's official). He studied a ton, in between working and taking care of Carter, and it paid off! He took the test in October and got the good news right before Christmas. Way to go, honey! The boys and I are so proud of you!

To my dear husband...

I just wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation for my sweet husband. Sean has been so supportive and helpful throughout the pregnancy and since I've come home from the hospital. He is very hands-on with both boys and does the 3 am feedings and diaper-changes without a single complaint. I feel so fortunate to be on this journey with him (I cannot imagine being a single mom--yikes!) and am so glad that our boys will have Sean as a role model to look up to. He is patient and fair and just a wonderful father. Thank you, honey, for all that you do for our family every day. We love you!

Here are the flowers Sean had waiting for me when I came home from the hospital. (They still look good even a week later!) He also had gotten "brother" cards for both boys (very sweet--how many guys would have thought of that?!) and surprised me with a gift certificate to a local spa so I could pamper myself once things settle down around here. I'm super excited to use it!
